THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

NOW LET'S SEE IT!

1: Spending time with my boyfriend of which I love so much, Josh. He's the best boyfriend I've ever had. Those of you who know me will agree cause you've all met my previous boyfriends.

2: Spending time with my friends. Ones I haven't seen or talked to in a long time. Any of the them really. I don't care which ones. I just love my friends and want to hang out with them. Catch up on everything that's been going on lately.

3: A new phone would be nice. I'm sold on the HTC Hero from Sprint.

4: New lenses for my glasses. I don't like getting a headache every time I look at my computer screen. Then I can't keep in touch with everybody as much as I want to. I have the prescription I just have to get the lenses made. grrrrr...I don't wanna fork out $210 for them though. I have to get bifocals. weird I know.

5: The time and materials to build a new shelving unit in my bedroom. it's really cool. I've sketched it all out. the measurements are to-scale and everything. It's a bookshelf/storage unit/desk. I'll have to post it. as soon as I find a scanner big enough to scan it in.

6: I'd like to pre-reg for Akon 21 in Dallas this coming June. Can't wait!

7: Everybody has to do this one. Stay well during the holidays and stay safe. No depression please! I may not be religious but I believe in the the gift of giving. It's a great feeling.

8: Everybody has to do this one too. Help somebody this holiday season. I don't care what it is. Weather you help to wrap gifts, donate gifts, donate your time at a shelter or some type of community service. Just help someone. It doesn't happen enough in this world believe it or not.

9: Draw me something. I don't care what it is (please no furry or twilight), just draw me something from the heart. I wanna see how creative you are.

10: Do something nice and unpredictable for your parents or guardians or the person(s) who raised you. They deserve it.
